I love the beauty of the world around me in its many glorious colors, shapes, forms , textures and words. I am irresistibly drawn to black and white photos due to their quality of timelessness and the creative latitude intrinsic to the medium. I was fortunate enough to experience the magic of developing films and making black & white prints at a very young age and my fascination continues to this day in my digital darkroom! Poems to me are photographs in words, they unfold and develop very much like prints in a darkroom. Just like a sculptor ‘frees’ the statue that lies waiting in the stone, a poet unravels the beauty of our world around us, sculpting with words.

This website is my attempt to share the world i perceive both, in color and in many shades of gray. Thank you for stopping by and if any image or poem made you feel something/anything, i would love to hear about it. With gratitude,

P.S. The title ‘Inner Mounting Flame’ is my homage to one of my favorite jazz albums by Mahavishnu Orchestra. Their debut album from 1971 is called ‘Inner mounting flame’, read more about it here. Give it a try!
